At the foot of the majestic east face of the Monte Rosa massif, stands Macugnaga, a characteristic village founded in the 13th century by the Walser, the jewel in the crown of the Anzasca Valley. The village features typical wooden houses that rest on stone bases grouped into small nuclei. In summer, however, there are many mapped and equipped paths, which allow you to discover wonderful mountain pastures; also for walkers there is a wide choice of itineraries and refuges based on their abilities.
